Our Insurance Approach

NeuroIntuition operates as a fee-for-service practice, which means we prioritize longer, unrushed appointments and direct access to Dr. Pahlavanzadeh rather than high patient volume. Many patients successfully use their out-of-network (OON) benefits to offset the cost of care.

What Is Out-of-Network Coverage?

If you have a PPO, POS, or similar plan, you likely have out-of-network benefits — meaning your insurance will reimburse a portion of your care even at practices that are not in your network. After meeting your OON deductible, your plan typically reimburses at a set percentage of the allowed amount or UCR (Usual, Customary & Reasonable) rate.

We provide a detailed superbill (itemized receipt with CPT codes, diagnosis codes, and provider credentials) after each visit, which you submit directly to your insurance for reimbursement.

Plans Most Likely to Reimburse

• PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) — Typically has the most flexible OON benefits
• POS (Point of Service) — May reimburse OON with a referral
• EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization) — Usually no OON benefits unless emergency
• HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) — Usually no OON benefits
